Growing up watching my mom cook meals for the whole family, being in the kitchen seemed really stressful. Ingredients were expensive, recipes had too many steps, and the food often ended up tasting bland. It seemed to me as though my mother and her friends spent all day in the kitchen! As soon as breakfast was finished and we were sent off to school, mom would start preparing lunch and dinner.
Now, having considerable experience in the kitchen, I realize that it doesn’t have to be hard! Cooking is a form of artistic expression, and we can get a delicious meal out of it. If you’re not having fun in the kitchen, you’re not doing it right!
Our Mission
Eat It Or Go Hungry is a way for me to share my knowledge with you. Our recipes are comprised of simple ingredients that are not expensive or hard to find. Most of the recipes are very simple and easy to follow with detailed step-by-step instructions. These recipes should bring you one step closer to enjoying your time in the kitchen, and treating yourself and your loved ones to delicious home cooked meals.
From my mother, I learned that the best dishes rarely come from recipes followed closely and meticulously. Use our recipes as a guide and follow your heart! You’ll find that many recipes have room for swaps and additional ingredients. If you have a favorite spice or herb, don’t be afraid to add it to the recipe. Lead with your heart and your taste buds will follow. Our goal is to get you in the kitchen and loving it! We know that you are human and have time constraints, budget limitations, and dietary restrictions. You might have a whole family to feed, or you may be cooking for one. No matter what your circumstances are, you should be able to enjoy delicious home cooked meals every day with no extra effort.
Eat It Or Go Hungry focuses on easy recipes with simple and inexpensive ingredients that require no unusual equipment. Together, we can make anything from pecan pie to pork chops. Remember, it’s all about having fun!
